First of all Thank you so much for stopping by my blog along this hop and for your awesome comments. Thank you for sharing your special memories of the beach and family with me.This has been my first blog hop and I don't think it could have been any better. To be in this incredible line up among these talented crafters and meeting all of you has truly been a joy. So thank you to all involved for making it a great experience.
Now on to my project for the day. This one is very sentimental to me. This sand and shells were giving to me by my husband before we were married. We had been dating only a short while, he had made previous plans to see his Brother , who at that time was in the Navy. I could not go because I could get off work. So since I couldn't go to the beach, my husband brought the beach to me.The Sweetest thing ever.
he brought the shells and the sand back to me in a soda cup.
I never wanted these to get thrown in a box or drawer so I came up with the idea of keeping them here, so no matter how cold or how much snow we get here in Indiana...I've always got the beach.
If we ever get to go back, we plan on adding to our personal beach. This being the last day of our hop I wanted to share my favorite beach memory with you. Thank you again. Have a wonderful day and be blessed.

  7. That's soooo sweet!!! My husband brought back some seaglass that he found on the beach before our beach wedding when he was waiting for me to walk out and he gave it to me, this is such a great idea to preserve something special like that! Thanks for stepping in last minute and joining me on this blog hop Jackie! :-)

  9. What a sweetheart he was and how thoughtful of you to do this lamp rather than storing in a box you would seldom open. Sounds like one special couple!

You were brave to take on a 5 day hop for your first hop but I would say you have done a phenomenol job and I am sure it won't be your last!

  15. Oh Jackie! Your story gave me goosey bumps, so sweet and romantic! I live at the beach, but I still treasure all of the seashells and sharks teeth my children brought me over the years, what a great way to save them all!
